Scoliosis

Scoliosis is a condition that occurs in children and adolescents that causes the spine to curve sideways. There are many types of scoliosis, with the most common being “idiopathic,” which means the exact cause is unknown.  In most cases of scoliosis, the curves are small and do not requirement treatment.  Some children develop spine deformities that become more severe as they grow and may need to wear a brace or have surgery to restore normal posture.
