Mike Karg, PA-C
A career as a physician assistant became my focus after a shadowing experience that I had as an undergraduate student (I played college baseball and had the opportunity to play professionally for a summer when I chose to take an internship with an orthopedic group in the suburbs of Chicago). It was while I was following the orthopedic surgeon and his PA, observing the in’s and out’s of the PA’s responsibilities, that it became apparent to me that I would really like this type of job.
In my 17+ years of experience working in orthopedics and specifically trauma, I have had the opportunity to see a very wide array of injuries. I enjoy following the journey of a trauma patient from seeing them at their worst moments until they come to the office and get back to daily life. As a provider, I like to keep things simple so I believe in taking care of patients the same way in which you would care for your mother.

In my spare time I enjoy going on vacations with my wife (Elaine), children Erin and Brett, and stepson Ian. I also enjoy coaching, golfing and walking around the town of Lake Geneva.
