Bryce Paschold, DPM
Welcome, and thank you for the opportunity to provide your foot and ankle care! I’d like to take this opportunity to share a little about my background, training, and patient care philosophy.
I have always had a deep love for sports and science. When I was in high school, I seriously sprained my ankle playing baseball, requiring physical therapy during recovery. I completed those therapy sessions at Orthopedic & Sports Enhancement Center in Bloomington, where coincidentally, I later worked as a podiatrist before our practice became part of OrthoMidwest with our current partnership with OSF HealthCare.
It was during those physical therapy sessions that I saw how medicine and sports came together, and I was instantly fascinated. This triggered my decision to pursue something within the field of sports medicine as my future career path. I was drawn toward the specialty of podiatry because of its uniqueness within the medical field.
Following high school, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology in preparation for medical studies. I was accepted at the prestigious Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, where I earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, or DPM, credentials. I further honed my surgical skills with a three-year residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
As a Board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon, I see a wide range of conditions and pathology involving the foot and ankle and have a special interest in treating sports, orthopedic, and traumatic foot and ankle injuries, and surgical reconstruction. I never have the same day twice, seeing all types of patients and foot conditions and injuries. This diversity keeps me on my toes (no pun intended)!
I strive to treat every person as I would like to be treated myself, with respect, honesty, and integrity. I will never “sugarcoat” anything with patients, and pride myself on being straightforward when it comes to discussing patients’ diagnoses and treatment options, even when the situation is difficult.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young children. It’s a busy time in our household right now, but when I can find the time, I enjoy being outdoors, as well as playing golf and basketball.
I look forward to working with you to get you back to your own more pain-free and active life.
