David Dansdill, MD
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in healthcare. I am originally from Burlington, Iowa, and I earned my B.A. degree in biology and completed the Honors Program at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I continued my studies at the University of Kansas in Kansas City and Wichita, obtaining my medical degree. Following my graduation, I pursued a medical internship and advanced medical training as part of my residency in Wichita, where I was selected to a chief residency position in internal medicine. In addition, I completed a subspecialty training program, or fellowship, in rheumatology and immunology at the University of Missouri. My practice is focused on rheumatology, which is the medical treatment of musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, and autoimmune diseases. It is my mission to provide you excellent service, as well as compassionate care. I always strive to provide you the same high quality medical care that I would offer to a member of my family.
I am actively involved in continuing medical education. During my years of practice in Rockford, I have been an active member of the University of Illinois Medical School, where I have led case discussions and lectured extensively. Additionally, I have published research projects including experimental computerized teaching of rheumatology to residents and undergraduates, and quantification of exercise capacity of rheumatoid arthritis patients. In addition to my extensive medical commitments, I enjoy spending time with my family, wife Dr. Beatriz Rodriguez, and three children Daniel, Maria, and Gabriel, and being a member of the Holy Family Church Choir. I love music and enjoy sports, hunting, fishing, and perennial gardening. I am also proud to have served as captain in the United States Army Reserve as a medical officer from 1982 to 1990. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further improve your experience at OrthoIllinois. My goal is to provide you the best medical care available.
I am looking forward to meeting with you.

Dr Dansdill is great!!
I appreciate the time he took to explain the reasons for the recommendations he was making.
Dr Dansdill treats me like I am a person and not just a number. His staff and especially his lead nurse Catherine are really put a patient at ease too!
Dr Dansdill met every reasonable expectation I had when I met him to discuss my arthritis. I left having a sense that I will be able to manage the pain and, perhaps, resolve some of the arthritic condition with his help. I am very grateful for his competent and compassionate care. I have already referred two of my friends to his office.
like Dr Dansdill very much
Dr. Dansdill was friendly and caring. He didn't talk down to me, which I found refreshing in a physician.
I live an hour away and will still see Dr. Dansdill. Very knowledgeable and impeccable bedside manner
Dr Dansdill is the best !!
Dr Dansdill is an amazing physician. I wish he could be my PCP!! he listens, cares about your overall health, not just what you are seeing him for. I hope he never retires.
Kind, considerate, and knowledgeable.
Dr. Dansdill continues to impress me with his insight and concern. We talked for a considerable time about radaculopathy and its impact on my life.
I always tell people about the clinic and doctor, they are the best.
He has always been concerned about my health and welfare. I look forward to my visits.
Best there is!
This one of the best doctor appointments I have ever had. The doctor understood why my meds were causing me problems and found other problems I was experiencing during exam.
Dr. Dansdill is better than very good. He is excellent!!!!! He paid a lot of attention to what my complaints were and had solutions for them all.
Dr Dansdill is fabulous! He is so easy to talk too! I trust him and Cathryn implicitly!!
We were both impressed with Dr. Dansdill!!!
I have more confidence in Dr. Dansdill that my own General Practioner.
