Neurosurgery

Delivering the best possible patient outcomes with compassion and respect.

Traumatic injuries and conditions of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves often provoke fear and stress for patients and their families.  The neurosurgeons at Ortho Illinois’ understand the challenges and decisions patients face.  Each specialist brings depth of skill and experience when working with patients and their families to identify the best course of treatment while earning confidence and trust.

Utilizing the latest technology, like minimally-invasive surgery, our surgeons provide the comprehensive management for complex brain and spinal conditions in children and adults that earned them outstanding reputations for surgical outcomes and patient care in the northern Illinois region.

 Exceptional neurosurgical care.

To ensure smooth, uncomplicated and rapid recovery, we use a team approach in the continuum of care that includes advanced practice nurses (APNs) or physician assistants (PAs) trained in the neurosurgery specialty.

Besides assisting in surgery, these APNs/PAs are skilled and experienced to intervene in emergencies as well as co-manage even the most complicated neurosurgical issues.  As specialty- trained medical professionals, they strive to provide compassionate and personalized care for every patient and are available at the hospitals to answer patient and family questions and concerns during hospitalization.

A Neurosurgery Center of Excellence.

Ortho Illinois’ Neurosurgery Center of Excellence offers patients full service convenience and a one-stop experience for post-hospitalization treatment and non-urgent diagnostic and surgical care.
