Becoming a nurse was a calling for me. I’ve always been driven to care for others. I chose to pursue a graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner to build upon the skills and knowledge I developed during my education and through my career as a Registered Nurse. Becoming a healthcare provider has allowed me to give back to the community in which I grew up.

I’m a Rockford native who has worked with the Ortho Illinois practice since 2009, where I began as a registered nurse. I’ve been providing patient care since 2005. I have more than 4 years of experience as an acute care cardiac nurse (registered nurse) and spent 5 years as a pediatric orthopedic nurse (registered nurse).

In addition to my nursing experience in orthopedics, I completed a clinical rotation during my undergraduate program in sports medicine. I am a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board and I have been working alongside Dr. Bottros since 2016.

I believe the core of nursing is to provide individualized, compassionate, and quality care to each patient with an emphasis on the patient as a whole. I’m focused on teaching and utilizing evidence-based practice to optimize the state of health of each person in my care. I enjoy spending time getting to know each patient, and my personal care philosophy is to provide the same level of care that I would want for myself or my family.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, including my two young children. I also enjoy spending time outdoors. I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with the care of my patients.
