Samantha Kauchak, FNP, BC
I have been a resident of the greater Rockford area my whole life and have been in the healthcare field since high school, starting out as a CNA and then spending many years as a trauma nurse at a local hospital. Healthcare is all I know, and I have never wanted to know any other field since I started down this path.
Interestingly, I was 8 months pregnant when I entered nursing school and I went into labor during my first nursing exam. I got a 94% on that exam, delivered 12 hours later, and was back in class for another exam 2 days later!
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Rockford University and followed that by attending Northern Illinois University, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – this time with no pregnancies or other life complications!
My biggest passion in life is my daughter Ginny, who is twelve years old and still enjoys spending time with her mother. I want to be successful and to be the best role model as a strong woman that I possibly can for her.
As a care provider, my goal is to always leave the patient in better condition than they were before they saw me. I have lived in this community my entire life and keeping my community healthy is important to me.
