Marc Zussman, MD
Dr. Marc A. Zussman, MD, is an accomplished orthopedic traumatologist at OrthoIllinois, a division of OrthoMidwest. Originally from Chicago and raised in Wilmette, Illinois, Dr. Zussman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1989. He continued his education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, where he obtained his medical degree with honors in 1993.
Medical Training and Specialization
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Zussman pursued orthopedic training during his residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He then completed a year-long advanced fellowship, sub-specializing in orthopedic traumatology at OrthoIndy / Indiana University in Indianapolis.
Clinical Expertise
Dr. Zussman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a clinical focus on orthopedic trauma. His practice includes limb reconstruction, pelvis fractures, peri-articular fractures, and general fracture care. He is dedicated to providing excellent service and compassionate care, striving to deliver the same high quality orthopedic treatment that he would offer to a member of his own family.
Academic and Professional Involvement
Active in continuing medical education, Dr. Zussman serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. He is also the Site Director for the Rush residency program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. Additionally, he is involved with the AO teaching faculty and the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
Personal Interests
In addition to his medical commitments, Dr. Zussman enjoys biking, scuba diving, reading, and spending time with his family.
