Jeffrey Earhart, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Earhart is a dedicated orthopaedic trauma surgeon at OrthoIllinois with extensive experience in both clinical practice and medical education. Originally from the Chicago area, Dr. Earhart earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biomedical engineering and electrical engineering from Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering in Durham, North Carolina.

He continued his education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, where he obtained his medical degree in 2007. Dr. Earhart then completed his orthopaedic residency training at the McGaw Medical Center at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. His residency included comprehensive level-one trauma experience at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hospital (now the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago), and the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

Following his residency, Dr. Earhart pursued advanced training in orthopaedic trauma surgery through a one-year fellowship at MetroHealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Earhart is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality orthopaedic care to patients experiencing unexpected injuries. His clinical focus encompasses the operative treatment of general limb fractures, peri-articular fractures, complex fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum (hip socket), peri-prosthetic fractures, and care for multiply injured patients. Additionally, his practice includes limb salvage procedures for fracture malunions, nonunions, and infections.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Earhart is actively involved in medical education. He has delivered numerous lectures on trauma topics and authored multiple orthopaedic research articles, abstracts, and textbook chapters. Dr. Earhart is particularly passionate about resident education and is currently affiliated with the Residency Program at Rush University Medical Center.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Earhart maintains an active lifestyle through running, biking, and participating in various sports. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Cubs, and enjoys music, movies, and spending time with his family.
