ROCKFORD, IL August 23, 2021 … Scott Trenhaile, MD coauthored an article titled, “Full-Thickness Rotator Cuff Tears Can be Safely Treated With a Resorbable Bioinductive Bovine Collagen Implant: One-Year Results of a Prospective Multicenter Registry” to be published in an upcoming edition of Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation and currently published in The Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine.The article shares results of a year-long post procedure follow-up study on 192 patients who had undergone surgical management of full-thickness rotator cuff tears augmented with the resorbable bioinductive bovine collagen implant. The research conclusion presented is that the safety and efficacy of a bioinductive implant was demonstrated and was comparable regardless of the underlying tear size. Read the full journal article.
