When I sat down with Gordon to talk about his story, I expected to meet and talk to a person who was completely healed and enjoying the quality of life he always wanted to have, but that’s not what I saw. Now that may sound like a negative comment, but I don’t think it is. Gordon’s story is one of progress, of moving forward, of taking hardship one
day at a time.
Here, I believe, is an opportunity for everyone to think about why we do the things we do. Gordon talked about how his pain kept him from performing his job to his level of satisfaction, and he also talked about wanting to be more active for his kids. Those are great goals.
I particularly appreciated Gordon’s story because it’s the story of a person working towards living a normal life, a life so many of us take for granted.
I was and am encouraged by this, and I hope you are too.
