ROCKFORD, Ill. (Dec. 17, 2020) – OrthoIllinois, a leading bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, raised $51,335 this year for the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Child Nutrition Programs through their popular holiday giving campaign, shattering previous records and bringing their 17-year total contribution to $521,217.

Staff, physicians, and business partners all contribute to the campaign, which benefits the Food Bank’s child nutrition programs. The funding will support nutritious meals for children in Winnebago, Boone, McHenry and Kane counties – all areas where OrthoIllinois proudly operates clinics that provide much-needed orthopedic care to community members.

“We are thrilled and overjoyed with this year’s contributions,” OrthoIllinois CEO Don Schreiner said. “It’s been a tough year for so many individuals and families, and our staff, physicians, and business partners truly stepped up to make a real impact on the communities we serve. We are grateful for their support.”

OrthoIllinois has contributed their holiday giving campaign dollars to the Northern Illinois Food Bank since 2004. Last year, the organization raised $38,425, and the previous record was $38,875 set in 2018.
