OrthoIllinois, Rockford Spine Center announce integration
ROCKFORD, Ill. (May 15, 2023) – OrthoIllinois, a leading bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, and Rockford Spine Center, a premier facility dedicated exclusively to spine care announced today that they will join forces as of June 1, 2023.
The integration creates a larger, more comprehensive care network combining internationally recognized, fellowship-trained spine surgeons from Rockford Spine Center with OrthoIllinois’ team of world-renowned skilled surgeons, physicians, clinical and support staff in all areas of orthopedic care.
At the conclusion of the integration, Rockford Spine Center will become part of OrthoIllinois. The practice will remain at its current location on McFarland Road in Rockford. There will be no disruption to patient care and no change in providers or staff at the McFarland clinic location. Each practice and its physicians will continue to have strong relationships with local hospitals and health systems to provide comprehensive full-service care to patients.
Rockford Spine Center has two Board-certified spine surgeons – Michael Roh, MD and Christopher Sliva, MD. Dr. Roh is co-founder of Rockford Spine Center, and has long been dedicated to creating a comprehensive spine center that provides superior and compassionate patient care. He has special expertise in cervical spine surgery and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Christopher Sliva is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the treatment of herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, tumors, infections, spinal trauma, and degenerative diseases of the spine.
OrthoIllinois, founded in 1967, is a subspecialty orthopedic practice with 49 physicians specializing in joint, pediatric, trauma, spine, upper extremity, and sports medicine orthopedics. The practice operates clinics in Rockford, Algonquin, Elgin, and McHenry.
